Permit committee
This will be a long term group that will work yearly with the United States Forest Service to gain permits,
access and look out for the best interests of the club. Needless to say this committee is potentially one
of the most important committees in the club, because without permits from the USFS we have no
events. Candidates wanting to be on this committee will have to be willing and able to work with
Governmental agencies, have good communication skills, be aware of and keep track of where the
permits are in the process. They will work closely with the 3 route leads and there would be up to 4
members on this committee that would share all information and be able to speak for the group so the
club wouldn’t have only 1 point of contact with the USFS.
Scope of work for this committee.
1) Get two yearly permits for 250 projected 300 maximum riders at each event.
2) To obtain a 5 plus year plan with an open catalog of routes that we can choose from to build
each of the 3 routes biannually.
3) To forge a transparent, open and good relationship with the Forester assigned to our events as
well as the office they work out of so when there is a personnel change it is a smooth and
seamless transition.
4) Have all these things documented for when there is a change
