This event is a fund raiser for UW Carbone Cancer Center in Madison, WI. All raffle and auction proceeds are donated to UW-CCC.  Donations are collected by club members and event participants. Checks to UW Carbone Cancer Center are accepted. Representatives from the UW Cancer Research Center usually come to the event to thank the club and participants for their support and to inform us of the research they have been able to perform because of the fund raising the club has made over the years. This is truly exciting and rewarding for the Wisconsin Dual Sport Riders to support research at UW-CCC to cure breast and colon cancer.

    Dual Sport Route
Dual Sport is a type of motorcycle riding which is a mix of off road trails connected with the use of roads.  Trails are used with permission and/or permits through the USFS, County forests, and private landowners. Trails range from 2 track, gravel, minimal pavement (as little as we can), and single track (Hero) sections that are optional - Saturday's route is usually about 125 miles and Sunday's route is usually about 75 miles (though miles and routes change often yearly). The motorcycles are street legal motorcycles that are fully off road capable. Knobby tires strongly recommended for the "Hero Sections"

Dual Sport GGR(Guided Group Ride) - Formerly known as Lite / 101

As an alternative to Saturday’s main Dual Sport route, we also offer a Dual Sport Guided Group Ride (GGR). GGR is designed for riders who want to enjoy forest roads and trails (some mud, sand, single track, two track, and gravel) on a route that minimizes contact with the faster main route riders. Men and women of all ages are invited to participate. A pair of WDSR club members provide the navigation and support along the way. Riders can also use their own navigation without worrying of missing a turn nor getting lost. The GGR Trail Guide will ensure that all riders get to the Saturday lunch stop and then back to the Wabeno Fairgrounds in the afternoon – no rider will be left behind. We will have a short GGR Rider Meeting after Saturday’s main Rider Meeting before heading out on the GGR route. All GGR riders start out as a large group leaving the Wabeno Fairgrounds and then naturally separate into smaller faster/slower sub-groups in the initial few miles of the route. This allows the riders to complete the route at an enjoyable pace that more closely matches up to their abilities and experience. While we don’t offer WDSR GGR Trail Guides for the Sunday route, we typically see riders from Saturday form bonds, group up, and venture out on Sunday on their own. WDSR members cannot teach a person how to ride a motorcycle, but there’s a lot that can be learned when talking with experienced riders. For additional bike/rider prep tips click on the "About" tab on the WDSR home page.

    Adventure Route
This ride is for larger multi-cylinder and big single-cylinder bikes, like the 1090R, GS1200, GS800, V-Strom, Super Tenere, Tiger, KLR650, and others, but all bikes are welcome. The route involves plenty of 4wd roads miles to develop new skills plus sandy roads, gravel roads, maybe a touch of mud or deeper sand, and very little asphalt. This ride will contain some more challenging, but optional "Hero" type off-road sections based upon rider input from previous events. Saturday's route is usually ~130 miles and Sunday's route is usually ~100 miles. Suitable off-road tires are required!
